Our final installment of the "Christmas Decorations" trilogy will focus on...whatever we did not cover so far. We love so many things that we find when saling but Christmas decorations may very well be our favorite. Our decorating covers years and years (and years) of collecting and saving Christmas items. Many of these items were in our homes (or grandparent's homes) when we were kids and we still have them. Others, we have found whilst saling. It is the memories of these items that bring smiles to our faces but, even more than that, we know that no matter where these originally came from, they are now OURS together...to share together for all of our lives...and that makes Christmas so very special when you can share the season with the one you love.
On to the remainder of our home at Christmas...
...and here
...and here
...and here. We like old stockings
We picked up this room divider lamp table during the year. It came in very handy for Christmas decorations
We were able to fit a few decorations on the top shelf
...and on the middle shelf
...and on the front where the flower pot is.
We like to fill bowls with Christmas decorations. A green Pyrex bowl...
...a green candy dish
...a red Pyrex bowl
...another red Pyrex bowl
...another green Pyrex bowl
...another red Pyrex bowl
...another green Pyrex bowl
...and another green Pyrex bowl
We use this old planter for tree toppers
We like to decorate the kitchen too. This is the entrance to our kitchen.
There's some sort of message on the kitchen wall.
Holiday mail holders grace a section of the kitchen
We decorate the kitchen hutch with Christmas decorations too
We keep a lot of the Christmas salt and pepper shakers on this kitchen shelf unit
A few more Christmas salt and pepper shakers
We have a few spots where the mistletoe is hung. This one is our favorite.
Two Pyrex bowls are reserved for the New Year's Eve noisemakers. The new year will soon be here!
This will be our last blog post of 2013. This blog is something we talked about doing for a long time and, back in January, we finally started it. Counting this entry, we created 83 posts, a chronicle of our year in 2013. We hope that at some point during the year, Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks made you smile or laugh once or twice.
We will see you all next year. From our house to yours...
Happy New Year!!!!
